Gibson les Paul pickup help

Hello my 2002 Gibson Les Paul custom Historic custom shop originally came with 57 classic pickups. After I had the lespaul for a few years I put in a burst bucker 3 in thebridge position. I love the overdrive and sustain I get with this pick up running it with my 1971 Marshall hundred watt super lead metal face, the highs are just too loud. for rock rhythm playin this pick up great but for lead work it's just a little bit too high on the output. Do you think switching to a burst bucker2 will solve my problem? Once again my complaint is about burst bucker 3 pickups as I find when playing the Blues for example , The strings"High E" and the "B" strings re just TOO LOUD even when I pick lightly!even lowering the pick up heights doesn't help !I do like the tone and the way the pick up sounds playing all the other strings and rhythm. Basically it's got great Tones but the highs are just too hot! Thanks!
