I have a krank krankenstein plus. I'm looking to mod and upgrade the amp. I've seen a few things around hinting that with a few mods you could potentially turn this amp into a true tone monster.
...so my questions are.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for the schematics on this amp?
Any tips or suggestions on preamp tubes and which positions produce the best results?
...and if anyone has had experience with this amp and/or modifying it. Tips, tricks, parts or anything else that could help achieve a really great modern tone?
That being said, please don't use this as a spring board for bashing Krank amps or regurgitating the same " buy a different amp" response that I've seen all over the net. I want to possible improve on something I own, not hear random opinions about how Marshall is the best.
....oh and I completely hate Marshall tone. Sorry. Just do.
