Hello!
I'm having a hard time finding a solution...
My home studio is centered around an Apollo Twin which I love and is connected to a pair of NS-10's w/ an Alesis amp (balanced connection). I just got a turntable with a little phono preamp (no level control on it, outputs are unbal. RCA L/R).
I'd like to be able to switch between the apollo (pro tools) and the turntable so I can listen to music on my NS10's... A passive switcher would work but then I have no control over the volume of the turntable (except for the L and R knobs on the alesis amp...) - I could also plug the turntable into the apollo that way I have control over volume but I have to plug it in everytime etc...
I don't want to switch to a big knob because I like the way the volume knob sounds on the apollo and I always thought the BK sounds a bit dirty...
Should I just get a patchbay? So I could patch the phono out into the apollo when I need to, and sometimes patch in my external preamps into the apollo etc...
What would YOU do?
Thank you :) :)
