Hi folk
I have been dabbling in recording for quite a few years but never really trying to good at it. Truth be told it is only recently I have figured out how to work an EQ and Compressor. I tell you this so you don't think I am someone who thinks he knows it all. Quite the opposite, I have a hell of a lot to learn, and who is better to help than you guys :)
Anyway, onto the mix. Firstly, I know this song won't be to a lot of peoples tastes. I am really just looking for some mixing/mastering advice. Any advice would be appreciated but one thing in particular seems to be a problem (to me anyway). The mix doesn't seem to have much bass/low end but seems to have too much mid high frequencies.
I am now second guessing myself about nearly everything and would really appreciate some constructive criticism. (Oh and if there are a couple of positives I can take from the mix please let me know :)
I use Cubase, recorded the parts (minus the vocals) myself and then mixed and mastered it.
Thank you good people in advance for your advice.
