I've searched for this issue online ad nauseam and couldn't find an answer so I apologise in advance if this has been covered and I've somehow missed it.
My computer is an early 2011, quad core Macbook Pro with 8 gig of ram. I'm running pro tools 9 (not HD) with Lion OSX 10.7.5.
My problem is that, while mixing, whenever I open up a plugin to adjust a setting I get either a 6101 or 9128 error message. If click the option to ignore errors I just get heaps of pops/clicks when opening up plugins. This happens regardless of which plugin i'm using or whether I change buffer settings, number of processors etc. Is something wrong with my computer that it can't handle the graphics of my plugin GUI's????
It's worth noting that the plugins work fine when I don't open them up.
The current song I'm mixing consists of about 15 tracks (I printed the drum mix), running around 40 plugins with the system usage hovering around 60%.
I need help as this is killing my workflow!!
Thanks in advance,
Darren
