Protools HD expansion chassis question

I'm running a Hackintosh with old PCIx HD core and accel cards. If I decide to move to an expansion chassis, caould I get by with a cheaper old chassis that is all PCIx instead of the Magma PE6R4 chassis?



If so, which chassis should I seek to fully max out an old HD system?



Also,



I have a few empty PCIe slots. Can I blend PCIx and PCIe in the same system?
