I've read the manual, I've looked at the flow chart and I still don't know 100% what the hell is going on with the effects and aux jacks.
The sends are only one jack but the returns are stereo. In the manual it shows one channel going to an effects processor and two coming back. But if its stereo what do you do with the other input on the effects processor.
I plan to put my orville, h3000, akg bx10 and another processor on these buses. They are all balanced. And the return jacks have a provision for +4db which I will use so that fine.
On the flow chart it shows that the channels are summed and then sent out the send with one jack. What cables do I use for the sends? Is the send mono or am I supposed to use a trs to dual xlr male cable for inputs on the effects processor?
If the send is mono what do i do with the other input since I can do a stereo return.
Does anyone else own this mixer? What are you doing for balanced stereo effects? The manual is not very helpful. Anyone that wants to look at the manual and help the cause it takes two seconds to download on the roland website. Just make sure to do the right one. Its the old one not the super fancy new M-480.
