I've most recently been using some nice WD-passport hard drives. Thay are small, bus powered and cost about the right amount.
Anyway, a gig I just did which was NOT a high pressure gig or anything like that so I didn't bother to bring backup. Long story short, the day after (today) I'm sat with my main pair *missing* and, weirdly, some audio from a previous project on some of my multitrack files recorded today.
Everything recorded in SADiE which has usually been excellent at logging recorded files and I've never had this before.
Fortunately, as I said, it wasn't an important gig but I don't want it to happen when it counts so, what external USB bus powered hard drives are you guys using?
Budget? Don't care, so long as it doesn't mix my files up overnight...
