The Octatrack Blues

Ok, so I got myself an Octatrack a few weeks back. I rarely start threads anywhere but I am at a loss with this thing. I started with music on a MPC 2000XL years ago. I understood going into this, that the Octatrack is a lot different. I've been reading the manual, over and over. Watching tutorials on youtube, and have been playing with it. I got a handle on a few basic things, but I cant even get this thing to sample right. I want to love this thing, and not sell it. But it really seems to be an unintuitive mess. I watch these videos on youtube with external synths hooked up via midi and I love what they are doing. So I want to get to that point with it. Anyways, anybody know somewhere on the net where I can find some help? I've watched the tutorials on Elektrons website and I still can't seem to get basic functions going. Enough rambling. Thanks guys.



Ps. I have a Bass Station 2, and a System 1 and my end goal would be to make some minimal techno ala Jeff Mills, or old Drumcode Adam Beyer.
