I just received a second MKH30, which I plan to use in a MKH30/30 M/S setup. The capsule appears to be about 10-15 degrees misaligned with the mic body. Has anyone seen this before?
It can be lined up correctly by peering through the front grill at the diaphragm housing itself, but it's a PITA. Think I'll just have it exchanged.
On a positive note, the two MKH30 both fit into the same Rycote Windshield designed for M/S with the MKH30/40. You just tilt the windshield 90 degrees. Pretty cool...
