I'm currently using a rather wide kitchen tabletop as a temporary desk for my home studio. I find that it puts me too far away from my monitors and tends to resonate rather badly with LF content. I'm sure it's causing some first reflections as well!
So, I'm looking for an inexpensive new desk that is narrower. I don't use any rackmounted gear, so that's not a priority. Cable management would be nice, but not required. And I have monitor stands, so I don't need integrated monitor shelves. I mainly need something that will let me get closer to my monitors.
I was considering something like this: LINNMON/ALEX Table - birch/gray, 120x60 cm - IKEA
Any suggestions? I'm particularly interested to see if anybody has any feedback related to resonance or reflection problems with desks.
Thanks so much! howdy
