I'm an electronic music producer (intermediate level) and recently I stepped up my game quite a bit with some things I've learned, mainly advanced sound using Massive. Since I've learned these tools I've been completely designing all of the sounds in my song instead of having stock instruments for some fillers. I've been having no trouble in any spot except one, I can't seem to make a really awesome synth bass. The style I'd like to learn how to make is best like in Apollo by Hardwell when he comes out of the drop at 1:47-1:49 in the original version. I want to learn how to make a really heavy and dirty synth bass that can also be used as a lead and not just your sub beat. If anyone can give me some pointers on what I can do in Massive to create such a Synth Bass would be much appreciated. I am very familiar with the parameters and use of LFO's and Envelopes so please do not hold back in an explanation. I'm not a bro but I'm definitely not a beginner, I'm just not sure how to create the sound I'm looking for in Massive and I really want to see what Massive would have to offer me in for such a role in the song and I have some friends who have made some synth basses in Massive but I definitely feel it has more to offer than what I've seen around me.
Also any other recommendations of plug ins you think would be great for designing this would be much appreciated!
