Hi. My dad worked for the National for 25 years. He had a 15 years length break and now he wants his own studio. Our studio. I and my sis also has amazing voices. We might break it into top TV/movies/ads business. I mean the other two top guys in tv in our country are my dad's friends anyway, LOL. So yeah, we need the very best versions of our voices possible. What gear would you suggest? We would like to start with something like a new mic, new PCI interface, used Adam A7X's and a mixer we already own from our earlier business. In a half a year we could get a preamp, compressor, etc. I already own AKG K240 Mk II headphones from my music production, which i bought 4 years ago and have barely used them. Our house is ULTRA quiet, we are gonna do the sound proofing ourselves with good material. There's zero noise outside!
What kind of gear would you suggest for our already great voices to sound even more terrific? I mean we want to do everything we can put our hands on and I'm only going to work for the best clients with biggest paychecks. Anyway, it's a small country and it's not gonna be that huge. Btw, my dad dubbed some movies in studio that cost over 30000 dollars and we don't have and never ever are planning to spend such amount of money. In the long run we could invest as much as 10000, but only if it repays of course, so we have to start small but solid.
Any thoughts, questions? THANKS!!!!!
Edit: for mic, a guy suggested us Rode K2, and for interface RME Hammerfall. Are they good enough?
